PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proportional elevator valve provided with excellent controllability and high safety in spite of simpler construction and cost lower than those of conventional devices. SOLUTION: This proportional elevator valve is provided with a valve body comprising a first port connected to a cylinder device for rise and fall of a car in a hydraulic elevator, a second port to receive supply of hydraulic oil from a hydraulic supply source, and a third port connected to a return oil line connected to a reservoir tank, and a three-way valve spool for both rise and fall disposed in the valve body to be movable in both directions along the axial center to selectively control communication opening between the first port and the second port or communication opening between the first port and the third port for controlling car rise/fall speed. It is also provided with a pilot spool coaxially provided to face the three-way valve spool through a spring in such a way that motion of the three-way valve spool is interlock-controlled by hydraulic pilot action, and a push-pull type actuator directly connected to the pilot spool to drive the pilot spool by pushing and pulling in both directions of the axial center in accordance with speed command signals.
