PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas engine device capable of providing excellent ignition property and high heat efficiency, reducing the amount of exhaust of nitrogen oxide, and preventing knocking. SOLUTION: In this gas engine device for supplying gas fuel and oxidizer into a combustion chamber formed by a cylinder and a piston to ignite air-fuel mixture compressed in the combustion chamber by an ignition device 2, the ignition device 2 generates plasma having ultra-high temperature by detonation of fuel in the ignition device, this plasma is injected into the combustion chamber to ignite the air-fuel mixture.
