PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary air supplying device for an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing lowering of emission controlling performance of exhaust gas while suppressing the generation of abnormal sound due to exhaust interference. SOLUTION: An engine 11 comprises two cylinder groups, and has first and second exhaust pipes 17a, 17b as an exhaust passage. The secondary air supplying device comprises first and second supplying passages 22a, 22b branching off and connecting to the first and second exhaust pipes 17a, 17b, an air supplying element 21 supplying air to the first and second exhaust pipes 17a, 17b, and first and second opening/closing valves 23, 24 provided in the first and second supplying passages 22a, 22b. The second opening/closing valve 24 driven to open/close so as to restrict air supply to the second exhaust pipe 17b when the air supply to the first and second exhaust pipes 17a, 17b is temporary prohibited and then permitted again.
