The thin-walled cylindrical housing (1) may be made of wound and laminated paper. A cloth cylinder (9) extends above the flat top of the cylinder. A bass loudspeaker (2) is mounted with a space (4) behind it and a pressure chamber (5) in front of it. A sloping plate (3) extends toward the bottom of the horn. It defines a downward-facing exponential horn with a sound output opening (6) at the bottom. Baffles or partitions (10) at the bottom act as stiffeners. A spacer (7) extends down from the floor of the cylinder and has an aperture for fastening bolt (8) connecting it to a foundation plate. The cylinder may stand in the corner of a room and may be connected to the walls via pieces of foam rubber (11).
