<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of being turned on/off based on occupant's intention, controlling the whole region from a time just before starting of a vehicle to a traveling state, being simplified without requiring a light emitting element, and enhancing reliability of determination of a road surface state. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device is provided with an infrared sensor 3 for detecting a radiation rate of infrared rays from a road surface, a vehicle speed sensor 7 for detecting speed, an outside air temperature sensor 4, a solar radiation sensor 6 for detecting an amount of solar radiation, an information device 9 for obtaining meteorological information by obtaining information from a car navigation system and time information, a control amplifier 2 for determining the road surface state including freezing based on the radiation rate of the infrared rays, the outside air temperature, the amount of the solar radiation, and the meteorological information, a vehicle braking control part 10, a vehicle speed control part 11, and a vehicle driving force control part 12 which control the vehicle according to the determined road surface state and vehicle speed, and a road surface determining switch 5 for switching ON/OFF of the determination of the road surface state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
