PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera blade driving apparatus in which the outer peripheral parts of two plates constituting a blade chamber can be provided with airtightness with the outside of the blade chamber. SOLUTION: The blade chamber is formed between the main plate 1 and an auxiliary plate 3, and shutter blades 6 and 7 and an aperture blade 8 are each rotatably arranged in the blade chamber. A recessed groove 1i is formed nearly along the outer periphery in the blade chamber side surface of the main plate 1, and a part of an O ring 2 is fitted into the recessed groove 1i. The auxiliary plate 3 is attached to the main plate 1 by screws 4 and 5, and a distance between the main plate 1 and the auxiliary plate 3 is controlled by pedestal parts 1g and 1h in the attached state. Besides, the O ring 2 is deformed and brought in tight contact with the main plate 1 and the auxiliary plate 3 so as to maintain the airtightness at the outer peripheral part. Thus, the light shielding performance, the noise insulating performance and the dust protecting performance in the outer peripheral part of the blade chamber are improved.
