<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus capable of informing a user of that a warmup time will be longer than normal, thereby enhancing user's convenient. <P>SOLUTION: A warmup operation of each part of the image forming apparatus is started (202), and a message "Please wait" is displayed on an operation panel to inform the user of that the warmup operation is being performed (204). A temperature and humidity in the image forming apparatus are taken in from an environment sensor (206), and it is discriminated whether the taken-in temperature T is equal to or lower than a prescribed temperature T2 and the humidity is equal to or higher than prescribed humidity or not (207 and 208). When it is determined that the temperature T is equal to or lower than the prescribed temperature T2 and the humidity is equal to or higher than prescribed humidity, a dew condensation resolving operation is started (210) to idly rotate a heat roll and a pressure roll.
