<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicarrier communication terminal device capable of decreasing power consumption and improving frequency efficiency, even if using the multicarrier communication terminal device in a system, such as wireless LAN inside homes. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitting system has an IFFT that performs an IFFT with 2×M points, in which M coefficients selected according to the output are set to 1, the remaining M coefficients are set to 0, and the corresponding frequency interval between respective points is set to 1/2 the symbol rate after diffusion. A receiving system comprises an FFT, demodulation, and P/S conversion. At the FFT, an FFT of 2×M points is performed to a signal that is received and digitized, and the amplitude of the coefficients of 2×M points is outputted. At the demodulation, the polarity is detected from matched filter output, and a parallel signal, outputted to the multiplier of the transmission system, is demodulated. At the P/S conversion, that output and the output of the extraction of diffusion code shifts are converted collectively from parallel into serial form.
