PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fiber laser oscillation device which can be realized relatively easily using a general shape of optical fiber and general exciting light and can a laser beam as a high output. SOLUTION: The fiber laser oscillation device comprises an optical fiber including a columnar core member containing a laser active substance in its longitudinal axis direction and including a cladding member having a refractive index smaller than that of the core member, the core member being surrounded by the cladding member to form a cylindrical shape; and an exciting light output means for outputting exciting light that proceeds to spread out in a short-axis direction and in a long-axis direction. The cylindrical optical fiber has a focal distance with a lens effect in a radial direction. The exciting light output means is arranged so that the long-axis direction of the exciting light becomes perpendicular to the long-axis direction of the optical fiber and a distance between the exciting light output means and the center of the optical fiber becomes the focal distance. Consequently, the exciting light emitted from the exciting light output means is passed through the optical fiber, converted to collimated light in the long-axis direction, and again input into the fiber.
