PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide candies each comprising two layers of a xylitol layer and a candy layer, producible in an industrial production line. SOLUTION: The subject method for producing the candies comprises obtaining a fluid body in which a part or the most part of xylitol is crystallized by heating and melting a mixture containing xylitol, erythritol and/or mannitol, and keeping the obtained xylitol melting liquid at a melting point of xylitol or below and also at a temperature keeping its fluidity, and on the other hand, heating and melting a candy material containing no xylitol and keeping the obtained candy melting liquid at a temperature keeping its fluidity. Furthermore, the method comprises forming the xylitol melting liquid and the candy melting liquid at temperatures of respective heat reserving processes so as to arrange the xylitol melting liquid and the candy melting liquid in a row, and cooling the formed body thus obtained to room temperature.
