The aim of the invention is to record the registration of the connection of a household appliance (A1) to a bus line arrangement (HB) to which a plurality of household appliances (A1... Am, An) is to be, or is, connected, for the transmission of data. To this end, the household appliance (A1) in question is provided with an intrinsic interface (IF1) that can be connected to the cited bus line arrangement (HB), and by which means data can be transmitted into and/or from the household appliance (A1). The household appliance (A1) also comprises at least one display device (D) for displaying operating states and/or operating data of the household appliance (A1), said display device (D) also being used to visualise the course and/or state of the registration of the connection of the household appliance (A1) to the bus line arrangement (HB).
