PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simple, easy-to-see method as a method for displaying homepages through the Internet by adding a character string specified by a conversion table to a KANJI (Chinese character) and KANA (Japanese syllabary) character string according to the conversion table. SOLUTION: A storage device is stored with additional information (Internet address plus directory on server plus inputted KANJI and KANA character string) and a table containing Internet addresses corresponding to them. Further, a KANJI and KANA character string-to-Internet address conversion program, a database, and an operating system are stored. When the KANJI and KANA character string is inputted from an input device and a conversion instruction is inputted, a control unit performs retrieval from the table in the storage device and converts the character string into the Internet address corresponding to the additional information. Then the homepage is displayed on a display device according to the converted Internet address.
