The rotor includes two spaced annuli mounted on a shaft and bars supporting the hanks and extending between the annuli so that as the shaft rotates the hanks are subjected to centrifugal force which removes the liq. from the hanks. The ends of the bars are located in sockets in the annuli. The device is used for drying hanks after dyeing. The device is compact and allows a simple method of drying. The hanks of yarn can be easily loaded outs are removed from the drying device.
