PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface emitting semiconductor laser device having a monolithically integrated pumping beam source 20, which emits an electcomagnetic radiation having excellent beam quality. SOLUTION: The pumping beam source has an end emitting semiconductor structure 9. The structure is suitable for emitting an electromagnetic radiation based on a curve, which can predetermine an intensity profile in the direction, which crosses the emitting direction z of the semiconductor structure.
