PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of inspecting a through hole provided on a work shaft part orthogonally to the axis, a slit provided on the end face of the work shaft part in parallel with the axis or the like, and inspecting the work over the whole periphery around its axis. SOLUTION: This inspection device of the shaft with a head part has a rotary table T for introducing a neck part of the shaft W with the head part sent from a feeder into a notched groove 1 provided at a constant pitch on the outer periphery, and supporting the head part of the shaft W from the lower side; and an inspection part K2 for grasping the head part of the shaft W by a chuck 3 provided over the rotary table T, rotating the chuck 3 around the axis L by a rotating mechanism 4, and detecting the shaft W by an optical sensor 5 or a camera provided sideward, to thereby inspect the quality thereof.
