PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch, having excellent retention and lubricity of grease. SOLUTION: Two or more engagement elements 13 provided at spaces in the circumferential direction, a retainer 14 retaining each engagement element 13 and an elastic member 15 for energizing the engagement elements 13 in the engaging direction are installed between an outer ring 11 and an inner ring 12. A flange 23 is provided on both sides in the axial direction of at least one of the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of the retainer 14, and when the one-way clutch races, grease flowing to both sides in the axial direction by pressure of the engagement elements 13 is inhibited from being displaced to the outside of the one way clutch by the flanges 23 to improve retention of grease.
