PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter system which is easy to maintain and manage with respect to the filter system for removing matter to be removed from water to be treated containing the matter to be removed. SOLUTION: In this filter system, a deposit being the matter to be removed formed on the surface of a filtration filter 11 is removed by using air bubbles supplied from an air diffusion mechanism 12, thereby enabling a filtration function to be maintained for a long time. Further, the air diffusion mechanism 12 is constituted of a first pipe 13 for supplying gas from below the filtration filter 11 and a second pipe 14 which is connected with the first pipe via a connection part 16 and which supplies the gas to the first pipe 13. The connection part 16 is exposed from the water to be treated. Accordingly, exchanging work of the first pipe 13 in which a problem such as clogging has occurred can be accurately and easily carried out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
