DEVICE FOR SUPPRESSING VERTICAL VIBRATION

A device for suppressing vertical vibration, absorbing vibration by amplifying the amount of displacement of a structure body. In the device, the number of parts is kept to a minimum and ease of construction (in construction in site), maintenanceability, and economical efficiency are improved. Further, the device can achieve increased vibration suppression effect. The device for suppressing vertical vibration is composed of a link section (2) and a stretched member (1). The link section (2) has first structure rods (21) pivotally attached to, or to the vicinity of, the base part of a projection section (W2) of a structure body (W), second structure rods (22) pivotally attached to head sections of the first structure rods (21), third structure rods (23) pivotally attached to the head section of the projection section (W2), and fourth structure rods (24) one end of each of which is pivotally attached to a head section of each of the third structure rods (23) and the other end is pivotally attached to the head section of each of the first structure rods (21). The stretched member (1) is stretched between support members (W1), and head sections of the second structure rods (22) are pivotally attached to the middle section of the stretched member (1) such that the first structure rods (21) and the second structure rods (22) form substantially a diamond shape.
