Disclosed is a cellulose ester film containing cellulose ester and microparticles having an average primary particle diameter of from 0.1 to 1.0 mum, wherein a relative standard deviation of a primary particle diameter of the microparticles is from 1 to 20%, and wherein the cellulose ester film has a surface with a peak density of from 1,000 to 8,000 (1/mm²).
