PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which can be surely loaded with an ink cartridge in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A carriage 21 for detachably holding an ink cartridge 81 is constituted of a carriage body 22 and a cover 51 rotationally attached to the carriage body 22. The cover 51 includes a press section 36 for downwardly pressing the top face of the ink cartridge 81 in a closed condition and a press lever 41 for pressing the rear end face of the ink cartridge 81 in the front direction. The press section 36 is constituted of one end of an urging member 35 consisting of a pair of torsion springs formed such that ends of the springs are coupled with each other to be united. The other end of the urging member 35 is coupled to the press lever 41 and the pressing force is applied to the press section 36 and the press lever 41 by the urging member 35.
