PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of transporting a recording sheet accurately via a recording region and eliminating or reducing the roller mark on the recording surface even when a recording sheet of any format undergoes a double-sided recording. SOLUTION: When recording on the obverse surface of the recording sheet is to be made in double-sided recording, a correction for the skew in the transporting direction of the recording sheet is made, while no skew correction is made at the time of recording on the reverse surface of the recording sheet opposite the obverse surface.
