The device has a protection cover (10) that forms a receiving space for parts of a disk surrounding a separating tool (2). Swiveling parts (13, 14) are tiltable relative to operation of a cutting or sawing device around a common axis of rotation. Two supporting rollers (16) are arranged in the part (13) projecting into the space of the cover. Rolling axis of the roller is aligned in an angle from 10 degree to a radius outgoing from the rotation. The swiveling parts are arranged outside of the tool. An independent claim is also included for cutting or sawing device with a protection and guidance device.
