<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin-slide type disk brake for a vehicle reduced in the weight thereof, while maintaining functions of an insulator and a shim plate, by eliminating excessively weighted parts of the insulator and the shim plate as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: Outer edge shape of the insulator 21 and the shim plate 22 to be fitted to a back surface of a back plate of a working part side friction pad 6 comprise outer edge parts 21c and 22c formed along shape of a part, on which at least a plurality of pistons 10, 11 and 12 abut. The outer edge parts 21c and 22c of the insulator 21 and the shim plate 22 to be fitted to a back surface of a back plate of a counter-working part side friction pad 6 comprise the outer edge parts 21c and 22c formed along shape of a part, on which at least a plurality of reaction force claws 14, 15, 16 and 17 abut.
