<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television set for a bathroom whose television unit can be turned off even if its remote controller becomes inoperative. <P>SOLUTION: This television set for the bathroom is a television set whose power supply to its television unit 2 can be stopped forcedly when a sensor position 5 is touched, by providing the sensor position 5 and a touch sensor for detecting a touch to this sensor position 5. By this television set, following problems of conventional sets can be solved. (1) There is a possibility of a television unit 2 becoming out of order on account of hot water and steam in a bathroom, unless the television unit 2 is put behind a transparent plate or half mirror plate 3 and isolated from the inside of the bathroom 1 to view a television program on a screen in the bathroom 1. (2) When the television unit 2 is isolated with the half mirror 3 in this way, the television unit 2 has to be operated by a remote controller 4. If dry cells of the remote controller 4 run out when the television unit 2 is in a state of power-on for example, the television unit 2 cannot be turned off until the dry cells are replaced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
