PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and small appliance capable of stabilizing and facilitating appliance attachment by preventing a mounting screw head from projecting toward the back surface of an appliance body 1, and preventing dust from accumulating, and having a ballast 8 with high heat radiation capability. SOLUTION: This appliance is provided with the ballast 8 arranged in the appliance body 1. An engagement projection 4 projecting into the appliance body 1 is formed in a contact surface range of the ballast 8 in the appliance body 1. An engagement hole 9 for receiving the engagement projection 4 is formed in the ballast 8. A cut and raised part 2 is formed in the vicinity of the contact surface range in the appliance body 1. The appliance is provided with an engagement fitting 5 detachably screwed to the cut and raised part 2.
