PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object position detection device capable of detecting a position of an article in a space, grasping positions of a plurality of freely moved articles accurately, and grasping a position of an article accurately even if the article is hidden behind an obstacle such as a person. SOLUTION: This object position detection device has at least one local position detection device 102 for detecting a local position of an article 20 arranged in the vicinity, and a general situation position detection means 103 provided in a space to detect a position and attitude of the local position detection device and obtain an absolute position in the space of the article based on the local position.
