PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily prevent stickiness of adhesives at the exposed end face in an article comprising an adhesive layer such as an adhesive tape, an adhesive film or an adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: In the method for treating the exposed end face of an adhesive layer, the exposed end face is subjected to anti-stick treatment in which the exposed end face of an adhesive layer is irradiated with the ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 200-280 nm, the adhesive layer being contained in an article prepared by laminating an acrylic adhesive containing 0.01-5 wt% of a hydrogen abstraction type photoinitiator to a substrate.
