IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus that can be manufactured at a low cost and read an image with high accuracy and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus is characterized in to include: a read roller 22 and a read driven roller 14 for carrying an original Q to a read positionβat which an image is read; an upstream carrying guide 25 for guiding the original Q carried by the rollers up to the read positionβ; a downstream carrying guide 26 provided at a downstream of the upstream carrying guide 25 in the original carrying direction and receiving the original Q passing through the read positionβ; a slit part 27 formed at the read positionβbetween the upstream carrying guide 25 and the downstream carrying guide 26 and extended in a direction in crossing with the original carrying direction; and a reader section 150 for reading the image of the carried original Q.
