PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing utensil with a string by which drawing with a string can easily be performed, and a painting talent is not obstructed. SOLUTION: On a plate-like drawing board 1 having a proper size, a thickness and a material or the like, many small holes 3 through which a string 2 of a proper size can be passed are provided by arranging them with an equal interval in the vertical and lateral directions. At the same time, on the rear surface side of the drawing board 1, thin bamboo stick-like thin rods 4 which have a smaller diameter than the small hole 3 and do not obstruct the passing of the string 2 to the rear surface side are provided along the central line position of respective small hole 3 rows in the lateral direction or the vertical direction in such a manner that the thin rods 4 are detachably supported by both end sections of the drawing board 1 to make them engaged and joined with each other.
