POLARITY DETERMINATION SYSTEM FOR BALANCED TRANSMISSION PATH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely determine the polarity of a balanced transmission path even if phase characteristics of the balanced transmission path as a determination object are unknown and the loss of the balanced transmission path is large.

SOLUTION: The transmitter 21 of a determination device 20 transmits a complex waveform A/C test signal generated with a test signal generator 23A twice in a row to one ends of 11a, 11b of the balanced transmission path 10. The complex waveform A/C test signal is the signal in which the waveform in the first half period and that of in the last half period of one period are distinctively different. The complex waveform A/C test signal is received in a row with a receiving part 22 from the other ends 12a, 12b of the balanced transmission path 10. A determination part 23B compares the transmission signal and the received signal, and determines the polarity of the balanced transmission path 10.
