PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inert gas replacing device which effectively prevents dropping of waterdrop or dirt accumulating on the roof of the device into a container. SOLUTION: On an inert gas replacement packaging line, the top part of a container transfer passage, through which the container transferred by a container transfer conveyor 6 passes, is covered with a semi-closed type tunnel 5 consisting of nozzle chambers 2 arranged along both sides of the container transfer passage and the roof 3 covering the part of top part between the nozzle chambers 2. The roof 3 of the tunnel 5 is formed to be sloped widthwise of the conveyor 6, so that waterdrop on the roof 3, which results from the condensation of contents or steam scattered from the container onto the roof 3, are guided along a sloped surface to flow toward the top outside of an opening of the container and fail to drop into the container.
