摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a magnesium oxide vapor-deposition material advantageously usable for forming a magnesium oxide film useful as a protective for the dielectric layer of an alternating current plasma display panel by an electron beam vapor-deposition process. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a magnesium oxide vapor-deposition material, slurry obtained by dispersing magnesium oxide and metal oxide in which the valency of the metallic element(s) is any of 3, 4 or 5 are dispersed into a water base dispersive medium including a binder at a molar ratio in the range of 99.99:0.01 to 94:6 is sprayed and dried with a spray drier to obtain the mixed granule of the magnesium oxide and the metal oxide; the obtained granule is molded into a pellet shape, and the pellet-shaped molding is sintered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
