PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip-type variable electronic part that is provided with an insulating substrate 2 with a through hole 5, an adjusting rotor 3 that is arranged on the upper surface of the insulating substrate and is so formed like a cup by using a metal plate that a driver tool can be received therein, an intermediate terminal electrode plate 4 made of metal plate that is in contact with the lower surface of the insulating substrate, and a shaft 9 provided integrally on the intermediate electrode plate in a manner to be engaged in the through hole, and wherein the adjusting rotor is covered freely rotatably at the upper end of the shaft in the bottom plate and the upper end of the shaft is caulked wider outwardly; and to make a total height small in the chip-type variable electronic part in such a state that the allowable receiving depth of a driver tool into the rotor is made large. SOLUTION: In the bottom plate 18 in the adjusting rotor, the through hole in the through holes of the insulating substrate is positioned by an appropriate dimension G lower than an opening on the upper surface of the insulating substrate.
