PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam having excellent heat resistance, recyclability (environmental compatibility), heat stability, heat insulating properties and flame retardance while using a foaming agent having low environmental problems. SOLUTION: The styrenic resin foam is obtained by extrusion foaming a styrenic resin and is characterized as follows. One or more kinds of compounds selected from a hydrocarbon and a halogenated hydrocarbon and having 0 ozone depletion coefficient are contained as a part or all of the foaming agent and a halogen flame retardant and at least one kind of metal compound selected from an oxide, a halide and a phosphate of Al, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Mo, Ru, Pd, Ag, Sn, W, Os, Pt and Ce are further contained.
