<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of suppressing parallax in reflection display, color mixture, and brightness drop in a two-polarizing plate type semitransmissive or reflective liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display 10 comprises a front side upper substrate 12 and a rear face side lower substrate 11 opposed mutually by sandwiching a liquid crystal layer 13; an upper polarizing plate 23 and a lower polarizing plate 21 arranged on the front side of the upper substrate 12 and the rear face side of the lower substrate 11 respectively; and a reflection plate 22 arranged on the rear face side of the lower polarizing plate 21.
