PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chloroprene rubber composition giving vulcanized products which are suitably used for molding cover boots (dust covers) built in ball joints, and the like, and have low surface friction coefficients and low compression permanent set values. SOLUTION: This chloroprene rubber composition is characterized by adding 6 to 12 pts. wt. of a higher fatty acid amide to 100 pts. wt. of chloroprene. The chloroprene rubber composition is suitably used for molding cover boots (dust covers) and the like. The molded dust covers have low surface friction coefficients, therefore have good properties to be built in ball joints, and small frictional wear properties, and have sufficient compression permanent set characteristics, even when especially used for dust covers produced from only rubber.
