PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the viscoelastic characteristics, especially tanδbalance, of an SBR/BR blend-based rubber composition containing silica. SOLUTION: This silica-containing rubber composition using as a rubber component a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber (SBR) / polybutadiene rubber (RB) blend rubber component which are viscoelastically compatible with each other, after vulcanized, is characterized in that an SBR/BR cocross-linked portion rate in all the rubber components is≤0.2.
