PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method of the press forming of a nonferrous metallic sheet by which the accuracy of the simulation calculation of forming is improved in a material having anisotropy of friction coefficient which is observed on such a material having small surface roughness as mill-finished material. SOLUTION: In the simulation method of the press forming of the nonferrous metallic sheet by which a plate material which is≤0.5μm in the surface roughness Ra in the direction vertical to the rolling direction is taken as a material to be formed and an equivalent draw bead is set, in this method, when expressing the friction coefficient in the direction parallel to the inflow direction of the material byμ1, the friction coefficient in the direction vertical to it byμ2, the angle which is formed between the inflow direction of the material and the line of the draw bead byθand general purpose draw bead tension by B, the square root of ((Bsinθ)<SP>2</SP>×(μ1/μ2)<SP>2</SP>+ (Bcosθ)<SP>2</SP>) is used for the draw bead tension in the caseμ1 is inputted to the friction coefficient to be used for calculation and the square root of ((Bsinθ)<SP>2</SP>+ (Bcosθ)<SP>2</SP>×(μ2/μ1)<SP>2</SP>) is used in the caseμ2 is inputted.
