PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely improve the visibility of the shift step design in the on-board instrument. SOLUTION: A light guide plate 2 is arranged right above a light source 52 for the shift step design, and arranged right under shift step designs 3a-3f formed on a dial plate 3. The light guide plate 2 is provided with flat sectional parts 2a-2f corresponding only to the areas where the shift step designs 3a-3f are formed, and a lighting part 21 provided beside the flat sectional parts 2a-2f, for lighting directly from a light source 51 for illuminating the dial design 32 other than the shift step designs.
