A measurement system for monitoring the operation of wall-mounted burners in high-power boilers, especially those fuelled with coal dust. It consists of a head containing two optic fibres for one burner. The acceptance cones of the optic fibres are aimed at the characteristic flame areas. The optic fibres are connected respectively to optoelectronic converters, which are connected through electric cables to a detector with a standard output. The symmetry axes of each pair of optic fibres and the symmetry axis of the burner are in one plane. It is characterised in that for at least two burners, the measuring head (1) is located in the opening in the shield, near the geometrical centre of the axis of longitudinal burners (2). The head contains the number of optic-fibre pairs equal to the number of monitored burners.
