Wireless communication method and system suitable for allowing a high-rate burst communication to be performed even in a high frequency band and for realizing a superfast wireless access system. A transmitter transmits, in a first polarization direction, a first radio modulated signal as modulated with transmitted information, while transmitting, in a second polarization direction that is orthogonal to the first polarization direction, a second radio modulated signal as modulated with a complementary signal and from which clock frequency divided signals are to be produced by subjecting the first and second radio modulated signals to a predetermined signal processing. A receiver reproduces the clock signal by subjecting the first and second radio modulated signals to the predetermined signal processing, and then uses the clock signal to demodulate the first radio modulated signal as synchronously detected or asynchronously detected.
