摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic image encoding device which can select a predictive image close to an actual image to be encoded, while suppressing an increase in the amount of operation on motion compensation. <P>SOLUTION: The dynamic image encoding device comprises a motion vector search range specifying part 12 for specifying a search range of the motion vector; a predictive image area specifier 13 for specifying a predictive image specifier to be compensated for motion prediction within a search range of the motion vector; an image corrector 2 for correcting an image characteristic value of the predictive image so as to match an image characteristic value of an image to be encoded as correction for motion prediction; an evaluation computer 10 for computing a predictive evaluation value of the predictive image on the basis of matching processing of the predictive image corrected for the motion prediction and the image to be encoded; and a motion vector selecting 11 for selecting a motion vector used for encoding the image to be encoded based on the predictive evaluation value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
