摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking force controller for a vehicle enhancing the regenerative efficiency as much as possible by effectively utilizing the regenerative braking as much as possible while preventing relatively abrupt fluctuation of the braking force and sense of incongruity attributable thereto when the friction braking force is converted into the regenerative braking force. <P>SOLUTION: The target braking force Fbft of a front wheel is operated based on the braking operational quantity by a driver (S10), and when the regenerative braking is started from the braking start (S60, 80), the value of the target braking force Fbft or the maximum regenerative braking force Frgfmax, whichever is the smaller is set in the target regenerative braking force Frgft of the front wheel (S110). When the regenerative braking is started in the middle of the friction braking (S60, 80), the previous value of the target regenerative braking force of the front wheel is defined as Frgftf, and the smallest value out of the target braking force Fbtf, the maximum regenerative braking force Frgfmax, and Frgftf + &Delta;Frgf is set to be the target regenerative braking force Frgft of the front wheel (S120) with &Delta;Frgf being the limited increase of the target regenerative braking force of the front wheel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
