PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect disconnection of a part of relays in a parallel relay circuit. SOLUTION: Driving for a plurality of relays 14a-14c are performed in order so that one of the plurality of relays 14a-14c is turned on, and remaining relays are turned off. Disconnection abnormality of the respective relays 14a-14c is detected by determining whether or not voltage is applied to a motor 13 through a voltage detecting resistor 14i when each of the relays 14a-14c is solely turned on. Thus, the disconnection abnormality of the plurality of relays 14a-14c can be individually detected. Therefore, the disconnection abnormality can be detected even when it occurs to only one of the plurality of relays 14a-14c, and a driver can be notified of that. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
