PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input/output terminal module for easily changing port configuration. SOLUTION: This method for controlling input/output terminal module 100 having a plurality of terminal parts 101a to f comprises a step to make those terminal parts 101a to f store addresses including first address portion and second address portion, and for dividing those terminal parts 101a to f into groups according to the first address portion, a step to accept an access address for designating the first address portion, a step to select the groups of the terminal parts 101a to f in which the first address portion matched with the access address is stored and a step to control the transmission/reception of data through the selected terminal parts 101a to f.
