PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make various adjusting work that a user performs at the time of installation according to installation environment as simple as possible. SOLUTION: A projector is equipped with a projection system includes a light source lamp 38, a color wheel 39, a mirror 40, a spatial optical modulating element 36, a projection lens 12 which project an image, and a display drive section 35, a projection condition storage section 43 which stores projection conditions at the time of a projecting operation performed by the projection system, and a control section 42 which re-sets projection conditions on the basis of the projection conditions stored in the projection condition storage section 43.
