PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light emitting device having high brightness by the use of a color conversion film with high conversion efficiency and highly adaptable to higher brightness. SOLUTION: An organic EL element 2 having at least one organic thin-film layer containing a luminous layer 5 pinched between a cathode (a reflective electrode) 3 and an anode (a transparent electrode) 4 is used as a light-emitting element, and color conversion films 8G, 8R containing fluorescent dye converting light emitted by the light-emitting element 2 into light of different wavelengths are provided at a light-taking-out side of the element 2.
