摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device that constantly charges a secondary battery in the situation that power generated from a solar battery is varied depending on the strength of the sunshine and the change of a circumferential temperature. SOLUTION: An electric double-layer capacitor 5 is charged by power generated from a solar battery module 1, and a boosting-type DC-DC converter 6 is driven by the charged voltage. A charge on/off-control circuit 7 detects a voltage of the electric double-layer capacitor 5, and when the voltage reaches a threshold voltage VH or higher, a charge start operation is conducted by holding a charge control signal (an output signal of a terminal Q) in an active mode. After that, when the voltage of the electric double-layer capacitor 5 reaches a threshold voltage VL or higher, a charge stop operation is conducted by holding the charge control signal in a non-active mode. When the charge control signal is in the active mode, a secondary battery control circuit 8 charges a secondary battery pack 9 on the basis of power stored in the electric double-layer capacitor 5.
