PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable clathrate of a high-order fullerene having high binding energy, especially a clathrate between a high-order fullerene and a multidentate calixarene, which provides arbitrary properties such as bioactivity, electrochemical characteristics, etc., by introducing various functionl groups to a host forming a clathrate and is applicable to various uses such as an electron-conducting material, a semiconductor, a physiologically active substance, etc., by introducing various functional groups to a host while keeping unique electronic properties derived from a fullerene skeleton.
