PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively steam rice to the upper part by high-temperature heating and prevent the rice from burning occurring on mainly heating the bottom of an inner pot by raising a temperature of steam closed in an upper part of the pot by heating a side part of the pot on steaming. SOLUTION: The rice cooker is provided with a bottom induction heating means 6 for induction-heating the bottom of the pot 2, a side induction heating means 7 for induction-heating the side part of the pot 2 and a control part 9 for heating-controlling the heating means 6 and the heating means 7 at the same time, wherein in the ratio of the amount of heat of the heating means 6 to that of the heating means 7, the heating means 7 occupies at least 30 % and excessive steam in the lower part of the rice is expelled by the pot 2 being intermittently heated by the heating means 6 at a steaming process. The control part 9 is provided with a high-temperature process control means 11 for raising the temperature of the steam expelled and closed in the upper part of the pot 2 by heating of the heating means 7.
